In which we take on the technical challenge of recording ourselves and samples of audio all at the same time. We came across the idea to review song covers — remakes of original songs — in comparison with the originals, when Adam was trying to get ideas for how to play Dua Lipa’s “Levitating” on the piano. The rest was a deep dive into so many other songs and how artists recreate something to make it their own, sometimes novel and sometimes not so great. It also just queued lots of memories of music in our lives that walked a fine line between our podcast terrain and the deep abyss of feelings.
